The East sits at 644 East 14th Street, just off the East Village, with studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units built for residents who want easy access to the neighborhood without giving up quiet, well-kept indoor and outdoor space. The building rounds out its units with a fitness center, a co-working space, a resident lounge, and a rooftop sundeck with grills.

Solicito and Son's landscaping work covered the property from the sidewalk up. At street level, we built out the planting beds along the building's frontage, setting custom planters and gardening the greenery that lines the entrance and perimeter.

On the roof, we set pedestal pavers across the terrace to give residents a level, durable surface that holds up to foot traffic and weather, then framed the deck with more custom planters along the rail. The outdoor kitchen there was built out with grills and prep space, and our crew handled the gardening and planting around it, choosing greenery suited to a rooftop environment and getting every bed established.

Landscape design carried across both levels, so the street-level beds and the rooftop terrace read as one job rather than two separate scopes.
